A Control Panel is a software tool used to control the content of a web hosting account. This includes, but is not limited to, files, email messages, databases, stats and various operations executed with them. The CP provides a web-based interface to control these things and anything else related to the web hosting service using different sections in which you can access functions through buttons and/or menus. The less complicated to use a CP is, the easier it'll be for you to control your web presence in general. In the common case, the CP is the Internet hosting account’s back office, while a different billing account is used to control payments and domain name registrations - if the company offers this service. Trouble tickets may be managed through the billing account or through an independent system.
